Volkel Airbase
Background
Volkel is one of two airbases of the Dutch Air combat command. Home to the 312 ‘sons of Bonzo’ squadron and 313 ‘tiger’ squadron, operating the F-35A. This airbase has also been home to the F-16AM and F-16BM, the last of which were phased out in 2024. Furthermore, the airbase is one of 5 bases of the ANWB Medical Air Assistance. Lastly, it is home to the local glider club, which is based on the south side of the base.

Installation
- Make sure all dependencies listed above are installed.
- Open the .zip folder and move the qdsimulations-airport-ehvk-volkel folder to your community folder.
- To use the GSX profile, move the .ini file to the correct folder with your other GSX profiles.
GSX Pro Profile: important information
To park in a shelter you will have to park on the apron in front of the shelter. Then you can choose to be pushed back into the shelter via GSX Pro. Note that the marshaller will not always stand in line with your parking spot, because there is a lack of space on some aprons. However, just follow the marshall’s instructions and you should be good.
Parking Designation
- North parking: Shelter parking
- Northwest parking: Parking on the large apron
- West parking: Lifeliner helicopter parking
- South parking: Shelter parking south of the runways
Please note: 100% accuracy is not possible, since not all information is publicly available, also the base is constantly undergoing construction, so some areas might be outdated. When possible this will be processed in future updates.
