Baker Island Army Airfield
Baker Island Army Airfield is a faithfully recreated World War II-era military airfield located on Baker Island in the central Pacific Ocean. Featuring a 1665-meter packed coral runway, this historic site served as a staging base for B-24 bombers and P-40 fighters. The airfield remains abandoned and now falls under the management of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The add-on reflects the airstrip’s minimal wartime infrastructure, including basic parking alongside the runway.
