Hi everyone,
I wanted to share SkyDeck, which has now moved into public launch after a long period of development and live-flight testing.
SkyDeck is a browser-based flight operations companion for Microsoft Flight Simulator, designed to make the whole flight feel connected rather than just adding another standalone ATC window.
Current features include:
- Voice ATC with semantic readback handling
- Real-world controller and frequency logic
- SimBrief flight-plan integration
- Ground and turnaround operations
- Cabin operations and announcements
- CPDLC
- Live map and weather
- Pilot tools
- Pilot Network
- Console Smart Tracking
- PC Live Telemetry through SkyDeck Bridge
One of the main things we wanted to achieve was proper Console support.
PS5 and Xbox pilots can use SkyDeck through Console Smart Tracking, so you do not need to be running Microsoft Flight Simulator on a gaming PC.
For PC users, the optional SkyDeck Bridge connects to MSFS through SimConnect and provides live aircraft telemetry such as position, altitude, groundspeed, heading and flight-state information.
The wider idea behind SkyDeck is that ATC should be only one part of the experience.
A flight can progress from clearance and pushback through departure, cruise, CPDLC and cabin service, then into approach, landing, arrival and the final stand.
We’ve now reached the stage where we’d really like more simmers to try it across different aircraft, routes and platforms and tell us what works well and what could be improved.
The aircraft is only half the flight. SkyDeck brings the rest to life.
