Learjet 35A

The Learjet Model 35 and Model 36 represent a series of American multi-purpose business jets and military transport planes produced by Learjet. These aircraft are propelled by two Garrett TFE731-2 turbofan engines and can accommodate 6-8 passengers in their cabins. The Model 36, designed for longer-range travel, features a shortened passenger area to create additional room in the rear fuselage for fuel tanks.

The engines are situated in nacelles on the sides of the rear fuselage, while the wings are equipped with single-slotted flaps. A distinctive feature of these aircraft is the presence of wingtip fuel tanks, setting them apart from other similar aircraft.

The Model 35A is an upgraded version of the Model 35, featuring TFE731-2-2B engines and a range of 2,789 miles. It has a fuel capacity of 931 US gallons (3,524 L), with refueling done at ground level through each wingtip tank. This model was introduced in 1976, replacing the original Model 35. Production of the Model 35A continued until 1993, with over 600 units built during this time.
