thank you for trying to fix it, I was very annoyed with those issues. Also can you maybe update the MCDU ident from 747 8i to 707?

and if you can, can you do the same thing with the fsx 727?

    747 cockpit. WHATS THE POINT
    J

I don't get it. Who enjoys flying a 747 with a 707 skin suit? Whats the point?
    J

    The 707 didn't have a MCDU.
    K

So? Doesn’t mean that the mcdu shouldn’t say 707 instead of 747-8i

Maybe you did the wrong steps, extract the file first, copy it, then paste it in the community folder

    Having a 707. That’s the point

It sounds like a 707 too, if he kept the cockpit then it wouldn’t be interactable

Another fun freeware gem. Thanks to the author for this!

Thank you! I know the B707 well having flown the RCAF "White Cow" many times. I tried a simple repaint by modifying the paint kit texture dds file, but no joy. The repaint doesnt show ; just the white repaint livery ? Not sure what I did wrong. Any chance of releasing the RCAF livery for this?

It's a freeware. What do you expect? Majority of the freeware back in FS2004/FSX/P3D days used the default cockpits of the 747, 737, a321, and CRJ-700 and they were great freeware add-on like Project OpenSky, etc

    But it isn't a 707, its a 747 with a model of a 707.

Hello.....please remember......this is a work in progress. I am very greatfull that the author has made the effort to provide us with this iconic aircraft accompanied with so many different liveries.
Yes .....the flight control surfaces are presently not animated, however, you still can manually input all the correct settings like flaps and stabalizer pitch for TO and Landings in order to result in realistic performance.
I have been flying this aircraft for several day's now and thoroughly enjoying it. The various textures and the visual models IMO are very good. The fact that it presently has a 747 Flight Deck does not bother me the least.
    Thank you Charles.......Herman CYYZ.

So many people in this comment section are so ungrateful... lmaoYes, it's got no 707 cockpit. If that's so bad, go make one yourself and see for yourself how hard it is. Someone asked if anyone actually enjoys flying a 707 with a 747 cockpit. I DO. Someone spent hours working on this so that we could atleast have a fraction of a 707 in MSFS, and people complain that it's not a study level fenix 707. A bit of a 707 is better than no 707, stop complaining unless you're willing to contribute yourself.

Nice! I was waiting for a 707. So, to all those "What's the point" comments. The point is a great looking 707 that happens to have a 747 flight deck, as it's a work in progress as stated by the content creator... "Although it uses a default 747 cockpit repainted to resemble the 707, it offers a playable experience, if one imagines it as a modern retrofit". 👀 -Reading is fundamental

Would it be difficult to make a panel for the 707?

Now all we need is an E-3 AWAC version to go along with it!

I have to agree with the "what's the point" crowd. I don't like any mods that use the cockpit and fm's of another airplane. There really is no point in mods such as this. If you stay in the cockpit as I do, then you are in a 747!

Yeah bro i love both 747 and 707 and ma dream is to fly 707 and now we have a 707 with a 747 cockpit so it can fly and it can autoland. Honestly, i prefer a 707 skin with 747 cockpit that a 707 skin with a 707 cockpit cuz flying a real 707 is IMPOSSIBLE cuz u have to learn ANCIENT SCIENCE!
    S

That's exactly what I did. You know, I installed so many plugins and other aircraft already, so how to install never was my issue. It just doesn't show up in my UI, while the other installed aircraft do (like A350 or A380 FSX imports)

The 707 was one of the first airliners I ever flew on (summer camp in Montana from Detroit in 1971, plus Mexico City in 1980--both Northwest Orient Airlines--later Northwest and now of course Delta) so I feel some nostalgia for it. Sure, it would be nice to have an "original" flight deck (although flying was much more challenging back then, pre-GPS, especially big iron!) but you can pretend that this one had a glass cockpit overhaul (not unheard of with older airliners converted to cargo or corporate use, although it's usually just the ADI and HSI plus a GPS or FMS, which is what Travolta did with his 707). You just have to ignore the different cockpit window shapes (I wonder how hard it would be to "graft" 737 windows--it's basically identical to the 707, or maybe a complete 737 flight deck with additional thrust levers...

Thank you for this airplane. I love to fly with it once you get the hang of it. It's not easy to do a conversion from FSX. I tried to convert a B-29 ... It's so difficult...

So you're stating there is no point in mods like these, because you don't like it this way. That's a silly way of thinking, isn't it?
