Wow cant beleive the negative comments. If this was your job and the products you have spent mega hours was your income source, how would you feel. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of shit products out there in this community, but I feel that this is a new addition to the sim, not a re-harsh. These are different developers for both sceneries. Nobody is forcing you to buy these products, like anything, if you want it you pay for it. As a Game developer and maker, I know how many countless hours that goes into development of products. I am not wealthy and I also have all of the products from Impulse Simulations, because I enjoy their products, they enhance my sim experience and lastly I want to support an Australian developer… Certainly not a money grab. Its a new product and the cost of is not that much for the enhanced experience it brings to your flight sim world… I am all for when something smells like a turd, looks like a turd, callign it out, its a turd, but this is definately not the case here… The flightsimulation community is the last respectful and peacful place on this earth where we all get on well, so lets dial down the retric on money grabs, its just not fair for the developers for their efforts that have been put in, seriously.

Hi Barry, Firstly I’d like to address the money grab comment. This product is far from a money grab, I myself have spent 760+ Hours rebuilding this product from the ground up. There would be less than 10 assets in this project that were in V1.
We have reconstructed all of the buildings, they’ve been well-optimised and perform great even on the Xbox. Several buildings and points of interest have been added that were not there in V1. We’ve gone to V2 for this particular product because Version 1 was developed by one of our now-retired Indie Developers and as V1 never made it to the Marketplace not everyone got a copy of the old one.
In the last few months, we’ve had several sales, bringing V1 down to less than $3 USD, meaning that if you secured V 1, V 2 is available at a heavy discount.
You’ve mentioned here that you believe V2 should be free, I am here to explain why we are unable to provide that.As mentioned above, countless hours have been spent on redeveloping this addon, adding new features and providing you with FREE UPDATES for the foreseeable future.
This will eventually bring in more features like animated Trains and Ships that follow dynamic rules to perform as they would in the real world.
Like many developers, we are still learning and every project is a huge step in front of the last you see it with every one of our products that get released.
There are new requirements to be met, and extra work has to be done now that Microsoft appears to favour the Xbox Community and how their performance is, so yes that unfortunately causes an extra workload for us, and ultimately causes extra costs that we need to cover to survive.
For people like us, we are just a 2 person team and considering the average minimum cost to develop anything at a commercial level is at least a 5K AUD price tag products like this barely break even. But we do these products not to make money, just to fill the gap for missing areas for Australia so our customers can enjoy another area and we hopefully help with their immersion just that little bit more.
We spend thousands of hours developing locations, from gaining reference photos, flying ourselves there to get photos, paying people to help us on the ground, obtaining schematics/plans and enough other information just to provide everyone with an accurate rendition of what they would see if they were standing on the ground there today.
We try our best to try and keep them updated with changes but sometimes to fund going backwards we need to move forward so we can afford to go backwards and not sink when we do so.
We are not at a “Microsoft” level financially so making the choice to go back and work on an old project or update a terminal/building that has been repainted has to take a bit of thinking about because the 30 hours you lose doing something like that might be the 30 you need to keep moving.
If you’d like to chat about this more, feel free to start a discussion over in our discord or email us. I hope that I have helped to explain the situation as to why we have to charge an upgrade fee and I hope to see you enjoying our products.
