iniBuilds El Hierro Airport (GCHI) is a native scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 recreating the principal airport of El Hierro in Spain's Canary Islands. The airport's compact layout and location between steep volcanic terrain and the Atlantic coastline provide a distinctive setting for regional and general aviation operations.
The scenery features handcrafted runway, apron, road and path materials alongside detailed terminal buildings with modeled exterior and interior areas. The apron and operational areas have been recreated together with custom taxiway signage, airport-specific ground details and accurately positioned dynamic lighting.
Beyond the immediate airfield, iniBuilds has modeled landside infrastructure, roads, surrounding buildings and elements of the coastal environment. Optimized textures and models are used to balance visual detail with simulator performance.
The scenery has been developed using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 SDK features and includes full iniManager support. It is intended particularly for the regular inter-island operations connecting El Hierro with Tenerife and Gran Canaria, as well as general aviation flying around the Canary Islands.
