Today, we’re excited to reveal our next upcoming scenery, London City Airport (EGLC), which is currently in the final stages of development for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024!
Situated in the heart of East London and surrounded by the iconic city skyline, London City is one of the world’s most unique commercial airports. With its steep approach profile, compact footprint, and distinctive docklands setting, London City offers an experience unlike anywhere else and we’ve worked hard to capture every detail that makes it so special.
From the instantly recognisable terminal and apron layout to the surrounding docklands environment, this project has focused on recreating the atmosphere and feel of this unique London business aviation hub! London City may be compact compared to many international airports, but its density and complexity make it an incredibly rewarding airport to create for the sim. The stands, taxiways, service area, terminal features, and various surrounding infrastructure elements have been carefully developed to ensure a great visual experience throughout.
We’ve placed a huge emphasis on the details that define the airport, including accurate airside layouts, bespoke ground textures, custom markings, realistic equipment placement, and the distinctive urban backdrop that makes every arrival and departure a true challenge, especially in those windier conditions!

Routes & Operations ✈️
London City Airport offers a diverse mix of operations despite its small size. From short-haul European business routes and regional services to corporate jets and specialist steep-approach operations, EGLC provides a truly unique style of flying, unlike anywhere else in the UK.
The airport is well known for its challenging 5.5° approach, requiring certified aircraft and crews, making every arrival and departure an experience in itself. Whether it's the Airbus A220, E-Jets or private bizjets, London City provides an abundance of opportunities for entertaining operations!
As we mentioned at the start, London City Airport is now entering the final stages of development and will be arriving soon for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
