    This is a GSX Pro Profile for Sim-Wings EDDH Hamburg Airport, Germany. This profile is made to be compliant with VATSIM according to the published documentations. The latest version of GSX Pro is required.

    Features:

    • Include custom stop positions for:

      • Fenix A320, A321, A319

      • PMDG B737-700, -800, and -900, and B777-200 and -300
      • iFly B737 MAX 8
      • Horizonsim B787-9
      • Asobo B787-10
      • iniBuilds A330-200 and -300, A340-300, and A350-900 and -1000
      • FlyByWire A380
    • Custom GSE placements.
    • GSX VDGS.
    • Custom pushback procedures used in real life and on VATSIM. 
    • Passenger walking paths.
    • Accurate jetway root floor heights for every jetway.
    • Apron 1 South and GA Parking are not yet customized as they are rarely used in real life.
    • MARS gates at Gates 01-07

    Important:

    • At Gates 01-07, narrow body airliners with a max wingspan of 36 meters MUST use one of the A/B positions.
    • Only Gate 06 is suitable for the A380.
    • VATSIM Germany does not recommend using Stand 60s as they will likely cause taxiway incursions.
    • The profile has not been tested with MSFS 2020, however, since the scenery is identical, it is expected to work without issues.

    MARS Gates:

    • Recent GSX Pro updates allow for the addition of MARS gates.
    • MARS system are available at Gates 01-07.
    • Gates labeled like "01/01B" indicate the availability of MARS system.
    • When selecting one of these gates, GSX will automatically assign either 01 or 01B depending on your aircraft type.
    • For aircraft with a wingspan under 36 meters, the A/B positions will be used automatically and vice versa.

    Scenery limitations:

    • Even with the addition of MARS gates, Gates 06A and 07A are still not available due to scenery limitations. When flying on VATSIM, notify the ATC if you are assigned to park at these gates.
    • GSX GSE may overlap with the static GSE.
    • At Gates 02, 03 and 04, the jetway may be slightly too short for widebody aircraft and may not connect to the aircraft door.
    • The following aircraft may have issues with jetways at the following gates:

      • Fenix A320: Gates 06B and 07B

      • iniBuilds A350: Gates 06 and 07

    Installation:

    • Remove any previous EDDH GSX profiles.
    • Extract the files and drop them into your GSX profile folder.
    • Remove the static VDGS - Go to Community\simwings-eddh\scenery and delete the "EDDH_VDGS" folder.
    • Make sure to always select "Reposition at the Gate" after GSX loads up.
    • Make sure you have the latest GSX Pro version for all features to work properly.

    Hi, first of all, thank you very much for creating and sharing this GSX-File. It is the first time for me using an extern Profile. Is there any Installation-Guide available which explanes how to manage the different files coming with your profile. In several YT-Videos i could not find an explanation or a similar example like yours.

    Hi, just download the files, extract them, and drop them in the following folder: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS

    Hi, thanks to your answer. I places all the files in the folder like you adviced to do. How can i check, if everything is ok? Like if i will fly online at vatsim an the controller ask me to pb orange line, facing north, how can i do that with your profile? Regards

    Jetway for 06B and 07B doesn't work even after repositioning. It is a shame because it has got the look of a very good GSX profile.

    Hi, yes from my own testing I noticed that the jetways only work for PMDG 737, and not Fenix A320. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with the profile, but instead this is a problem with the scenery itself. Gates 06B and 07B do not exist in the scenery but I added them as MARS gates to Gates 06 and 07. Since Gates 06B and 07B have a relatively huge offset from their parent gates (06 and 07), the simulator does not detect the aircraft as being within the parent gates and therefore it will not activate the jetways. This is not an isolated issue, it also happens at Gate 02, 03, and 04, and there is absolutely nothing I can do. I have tried reaching out to Simwings and Aerosoft to fix this issue among others, but to no avail.

    I did not get paid a dime by making this profile since I only made it during my free time and to help the community. I really appreciate any constructive feedback, but a bad rating because of something that is completely out of my control makes me very sad because I spent hours of my time without pay but none of them are appreciated by the community.

    Hi. I appreciate the limitations with scenery which is out of your control. However, the issue is that you have created MARS gates which essentially don’t work. For example when I used gate 07B with the Fenix, nothing happens and all it does is open the aircraft door with no stairs or jetway so GSX becomes useless and unrealistic in this instance. There is no option to reposition an aircraft with a wingspan under 36m to the main 07 gate which would then allow the jetway to work.

    Look I understand your concern but I was not able to test the profile with every single aircraft available in the simulator. If I did, it would be hundreds of different aircraft that I have to purchase with my own money. I made the profile so that it would be as realistic as possible because in real life aircraft with a wingspan of 36 meters and less must use the A/B positions, and anything more than 36 meters must use the non A/B positions. Without the profile, you could only use certain stands for certain aircraft, which would be a huge problem if flying on VATSIM. And when I was making the profile, I mainly used PMDG 737 and 777 and I didn’t realize something was not right with Fenix A320. And fyi, jetways at Gates 06 and 07 won’t even connect to iniBuilds A350, and guess what they are not even MARS gates that I created, instead they are the scenery’s default gates. It’s just to show how broken the scenery is and it has nothing to do with my profile.

    You are more than welcomed to use a different profile that does not contain the MARS gate, but you will face more limitations, especially if "realism" is your priority. It’s just that I’m pretty upset that you negatively rate my profile for something that is completely not related to it. You didn’t contribute anything, the least you could do is be kind.

    Thank you for making this, unfortunately I have a Problem with the A350 from iniBuilds. No matter which Heavy Gate I use there is a gap between the Plane and the Gatebridge. I have deleted the VGS and I have deleted all other EDDH GSX Profiles. And I have repositioned the Aircraft twice. See the Picture. Annyway thank you for your work. By the way, no Problem with the 777-300 from PMDG.

    Hi, unfortunately this is an issue with the length of the jetway, and I have actually tried to reach out to the scenery developer, but I was unable to get in touch with them. I submitted a complaint to Aerosoft hoping that it could be relayed to Simwings but they too could not get in touch with Simwings.

    It seems like only jetway at Gate 08 works properly with iniBuilds A350, and in fact jetways at Gates 02, 03, and 04 don't move at all. Unless we can get Simwings to fix this, there is really so much I can do.

    Thank you for your explanation. I had contact years ago with the Developer, but it seems he is real busy with other stuff. So we must wait if another Developer like for example iniBuilds gives EDDH some love.

    Yes, you need to remove the static VDGS. Go to Community/simwings-eddh/scenery and delete the "EDDH_VDGS" folder
