    Description

    Gloucestershire Airport, formerly Staverton Airport, is a small airport located in Churchdown, England. It lies 4 miles west of Cheltenham, near the city of Gloucester and close to the M5 motorway.


    Gloucestershire Airport is a vibrant aviation hub with a diverse mix of organisations including business jets, private charter, commercial and leisure fixed wing and rotary training, experience flights and simulators, maintenance and repairs, aero clubs and general aviation.

    Great representation of Staverton (Gloucestershire) Airport, very much payware quality!

    The reason there are stutters, is it doesn't look like LOD1 & LOD2 have been created. Buildings disappear even when close to the airport.

    Happy to help create the LOD1 & 2 versions which will reduce / remove stutters.

    I learnt to fly here and have a fondness for the airport, so anything I can do to help please shout.

    When I copy the file over to the 2024 Community file, a box appears several times saying 'an unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file'. Any ideas?!

    New version looks good Chis and I'm still checking it out in detail. However, I noticed that RWY 27 is shown as 26 (I don't think it has changed) and I couldn't seem to recieve an ADF signal on 331. Keep up the good work as this airport really needs it. Cheers, IAN ps - I also noticed that RWY 22 had become RWY 21. pps - sorry, I noticed that the designators have in fact changed in real life due to magnetic variance.

    Yes runway designations were reassigned June 2026.. change in magnetic inclination. Updated by gloustershire airport authorities. 1 degree changes; runways now designated as 08/26 and 03/21.

    Looks fantastic! Really great details put into this airport. I have one issue with the taxiways being checkered though. Is there a fix for this? (Tried reinstalling, re-downloading, etc.)

    Edit: update fixed it all. Amazing job! 6*'s.

    Nice but find if very laggy and lots of stutters on approach. Any possible reason for that? (Jayflysim's EGBJ for 2020 (Smaller in size) or Photobykev's version (Larger in size) both seems to work smoother in 2024. (I have I7-13700K, RTX4070, 64gb ram on moderate settings so shouldn't be a problem. Any suggestions or ideas?) (Thanks in advance).

    This was my Partner's home airport, she died a few days ago at the far too young age of 29. I'm so glad this scenery has been created so I can fly from here in here memory

    Great start! Really looking forward to future updates but this (version 1) is a great basis point and considerably better than anything else we've had before! I'd especially appreciate some attention to the Skybourne area (currently a mashup of ground markings) with some Skybourne-specific static DA40s/42s.

    A very exquisite airport, though it seems to have some minor performance issues; the FPS drops noticeably when the camera is focused on areas with dense buildings.
