    EGNF - Netherthorpe Aerodrome

    Netherthorpe Aerodrome is a small airfield in South Yorkshire, West of Sheffield. A great place to fly, the airfield is surrounded by the busy airspaces of Doncaster and East Midlands airports and gives a nice gateway to flying in the Peak District. 

    The airfield was used heavily in the war by the Royal Auxiliary Air Force and now houses two flying schools. I hope you enjoy flying at this lovely airfield!

    The model has been created using only MSFS standard SDK objects and so should work for all users. The airfield is a work in progress and I am open to advice about how to make the airfield as close to life as possible. I hope you enjoy!

    Really nice scenery! though I think something happened and there are trees instead of bushes blocking RW24, if this could be fixed thatd be great thanks!

    Looks fantastic, I fly out and in here monthly, sometimes even more, so this was pleasently welcomed after I saw your Gamston airport. Is there any chance of you porting this over to xPlane 11?

    Thank you! I fly out of Gamston, so get to see this little aerodrome a lot! Unfortunately, I only make airfields for MSFS! Sorry :)

    Great airfield scenery, maybe just me but I've got aircraft popping vertically up and down? Is it just my sim, any ideas? I've not got other scenery hanging around in the community folder I've checked? I'm running the latest version of the sim.

    Hello, thank's for your comment. Yes, this seems to be something with the way that the simobjects in SDK are loaded into the sim and I have seen it for all add-ons where the simobjects are used. The other aircraft on the airfield are made from the Asobo models, so they have modelled cockpits. I will look into whether changing to the generic traffic aircraft will affect this. Thanks!

    Fantastic! My local airfield and been hoping somebody would be so good as to make scenery for it. Spent my afternoon flying a Mk XI Spitfire out of here. Many thanks!
