Description
The Chain Home network of transmitters and receivers in England was the first early warning radar system in the world. The network was continually expended during the Second World War and over 40 stations were activated. Today, only a few of the transmitting towers remain, with some of them being re-purposed for telecommunications. This scenery includes the transmitting towers in the following locations:
- Swingate near the cliffs of Dover.
- Dunkirk in Kent
- Great Baddow in Essex.
There is a 4th transmitting tower available in Lincolnshire which is provided as part of our Belmont Tower plug-in.
Extensive information on the Chain Home Network is available here.
These are great VFR references and I’ve done my best to re-create it for FS2020.
Please see the attached PDF file inside the zip file which covers: Installation; Finding the community folder; Licensing; Credits; Contacts; Change Log.
This scenery works very nicely with other plugins I developed for the UK, links should be at the bottom of the page.
See you in the Sim!
