Introduction

TaxiNow is an installed Windows PC application that runs locally on the user’s computer. It is not a hosted website or web-based service.

TaxiNow provides detailed airport moving maps (AMM) for Microsoft Flight Simulator and displays the aircraft’s current position and heading while taxiing. It also includes taxi planning, airport search, map downloads, map management, and customizable storage options.

You can also use TaxiNow on your mobile devices like on an iPad with TaxiNow's built in host service. (PC Client Required). This is not a standalone Andriod/iOS app, you will need to keep the PC client running to be able to use it on your mobile devices.

Compatibility

TaxiNow currently supports both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 and has been tested through MSFS 2020/2024 SimConnect.

TaxiNow is free for personal, non-commercial flight-simulation use only. It must not be used for real-world navigation.

TaxiNow remains copyrighted software despite being free. It may not be copied, derived from, reverse engineered, or supplied to AI tools for distillation.

If you want to build a better tool using methods or technology demonstrated in TaxiNow, please contact me through DM or GitHub. I am willing to discuss parts of my methodology when proper credit is given.

Commercial use, including soliciting donations, is strictly prohibited for any work using TaxiNow code, assets, or protected technology.

I have invested substantial time and resources in creating TaxiNow as freeware, and I ask other developers to respect that work and contact me directly before attempting to reuse it.
