Version 1.2 (April 26, 2021)
This version adds more prominent scenery objects to help navigate in Luxembourg VFR:
- The new football stadium “Stade de Luxembourg”
- The big white Drosbach Building opposite the stadium
- The distinctive Leudelange water tower
- The Victor Bodson Bridge cable-stayed bridge in Hesperange, spanning the Alzette valley
- The Vianden hydro-electric plant towers overlooking the water reservoir.
- The Arlon Ikea store
All of these models have been created exclusively by Chris.1008 and all credits go to him.
If you have already installed an earlier version of the package, just replace LuxVFR with the new version. That’s it!
New users: Please install the scenery files of your choice:
LuxVFR adds radio towers, water towers, all scenery objects and all POI markers.
LuxGare adds photogrammetry of the Luxembourg Gare quarter
LuxKirchberg adds Kirchberg quarter, Red Bridge, Glacis (including the iconic annual fair Schobermesse), Pfaffental Elevator, Fondation Pescatore and the major part of Limpertsberg quarter.
Please install LuxKirchberg_High if you have a high-end system, OR LuxKirchberg_Low for less resolution and better frames. Do not install both!

- 40 new POI markers: Belval, Bettembourg, Capellen, Clervaux, Diekirch, Differdange, Dudelange, Echternach, Eischen, Esch/Alzette, Esch/Sûre, Ettelbruck, Fischbach/CARLI, Frisange/TANGO, Grevenmacher, Grunewald/BRAVO, Hosingen, Insenborn, Keispelt/ALPHA, Kopstal, Mamer, Mersch/MERSA, Mondorf , Moutfort/SIERA, Noertrange, Petange, Redange, Remich/REMIK, Schengen , Steinsel, Troisvierges, Useldange, Vianden, Wandhaff, Wasserbillig, Weiswampach, Wiltz, Wincrange, Wormeldange/OSCAR
For VFR pilots training current ELLX procedures, VFR reporting points have been added to the POI markers.
Example: Frisange/TANGO
Outbound rwy 06: report at CARLI or OSCAR
Outbound rwy 24: report at ALPHA or TANGO
Inbound NW: report at MERSA, then BRAVO
Inbound SE: report at REMIK, then SIERA
VFR holdings at BRAVO or SIERA
V1.0 (Jan 29, 2021)
The Kirchberg scenery has been entirely reworked and now comes with improved lighting, plus a bunch of new landmarks:
MUDAM (Modern Art Museum), Fort Thuengen, Red Bridge, Glacis (including the iconic annual fair Schobermesse), Pfaffental Elevator, Fondation Pescatore and the major part of Limpertsberg quarter.
IMPORTANT:
-> Please delete the old Kirchberg directory in your Community folder.
-> Then install Kirchberg_High if you have a high-end system, OR Kirchberg_Low for less resolution and better frames. Do not install both!

Scenery nows consists of two scenery files. You can install just one of your choice, or both.
1) Scenery file: LuxVFR
- Dudelange radio tower and Frisange water tower: As per real life, no more beacons.
- Schoenfels castle has been added (generic castle), to define VFR reporting point CARLI
2) Scenery file: Kirchberg
An additional scenery file has been added that adds some photogrammetry buildings from Luxembourg Kirchberg city quarter close to ELLX.
It includes iconic buildings like the Coque, Philharmonie, European Convention Center, the Golden twin towers of the European Court of Justice and more.
V.01 (Sep 27, 2020)
Scenery file: Lux
This small scenery file adds some simple VFR reference points around Luxembourg. Included are the radio tower of Dudelange, the 3 radio towers of Junglinster, the water tower at Frisange (VFR reporting point TANGO), the water tower above Remerschen and the church of Keispelt (VFR reporting point ALPHA).
Also, ELLX airport has been added a basic ATC tower – it is missing in the default scenery.
To install, simply copy the Lux directory as included in the zip file into your FS Community folder.

Is this scenery still relevant? No new WU/CU in the area? Compatible SU11?

First of all i would like to thank you for the amazing work you did and are doing to make Luxembourg look great in Msfs! For me the Added buildings are much grayer than the normal one from Msfs. Is there any way i can fix this issue?

Thanks, unfortunately you will not be able to fix this. The scenery mixes two different sources with very different lighting and hues. We tried to integrate those as closely as possible, but it will never match perfectly.

QUESTION : do you think it would be possible to add some lights on the radio towers in Jonglënster? now, they only have one each, at their base. But from what i recall, there should be 4 on the whole tower, plus a 5th on the very top, on each one of them...same for the radio towers at Beidweiler, btw.

Having said that at this point I prefer photogrammetry as it gives you the actual textures of the buildings. Would you be able to release an update to address that?

Euroschool, Porte de l'Europe, Court of Justice and a few others - the base scenery model is poking out of the photogrammetry one. I only want to keep the photogrammetry as it looks more realistic :)
I am using the new Justsim ELLX but as far as I know it should not include any city objects.
