    Description

    EGNL Walney Island Barrow

    This is an ideal starting place to explore the Lake District. There's not a great deal of information about it as it is owned by BAE Systems and has recently been upgraded.

    I have custom built all the buildings and created as much of the up-to-date groundwork as possible.

    Excellent! Thanks for your work! I've never been there, but the satellite map showed that this little airport had PAPI lights. Can you add it in the next update if it exists in reality?

    Thank you for making this! It's a lovely little airport and works fine in SU9. Would it be possible to make a version without the static aircraft though as I keep spawning inside them! Thank you.

    It's very nice, but there is a solid line of trees right across the threshold of runway 23 making it unusable.

    Thank you for this. It's one I have been hoping for.
    I live about 8 miles away from the airfield and landed there whilst doing my qualifying cross country for my PPL. Blackpool > Barrow > Carlisle.
    Also used to fly model aircraft on the dissused runway with permission from BA Systems who operate the airfield.
    Nice detail. Even got the KIng Air's.
    I agree with Tellboy. A Cark improvement would be very welcome.

    Thanks Skell. Looking forward to a sightseeing trip from Walney Island to Carlisle later.

    Downloaded and made the trip. Direct flight provides great views Huge improvement on the defaults.

    Just like Carlisle, very nicely done.
