Description
I am pleased to release my latest scenery pack Thanet - Kent.
This scenery has a very large coverage area of 69 sq km that spans the Kent coastline all the way from Ramsgate to Birchington on Sea. The majority of the scenery has been captured in a standard LOD of 17-19. This is best for visuals and performance.
I have captured the three seaside resorts of Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate in a higher LOD of 17-20.
Special Features unique to this scenery
- Huge coverage area of 69 sq KM
- Optimized for performance - Using Thalixite's Google Earth Decoder Optimization Tools
- Real Trees Terraforming - A special technique I have utilized. With a precision use of terraforming, this replaces/hides the oblique google tree textures with real trees.
- Colour Corrected Textures - Blends better and almost seamlessly with the surrounding default scenery.
- Added Extra Night Lighting - Over 2000 extra points of night light been hand placed.

I live in Margate so this will be wonderful to see my actual house and area im familiar with! sad that Manston airport was removed from the game and the scenery for it is disabled

Thank you... I gave Margate a little HD treatment too... Im a 30 minute drive from there so was a need to be done mod... also, there is a mod here that puts Manston back on the map https://flightsim.to/file/9799/manston-airport-reactivated

Amazing. So happy to have this installed. One thing that bothers me is that by the Broadstairs Viking Bay Jetty, there's a massive ship docked there. Is there a way to remove this?

I have not tested with SU5, but this is made in the same nature as my scenery I am making now with no issues... Orbx GB I believe, they have only released central England which doesnt cover this area

i live in margate currently and seems like noone around here is part of the flight sim community, aside from that when i go there its just the base buildings so im not sure if its working for me...

hahaha ive made a mistake by not putting the inner files in, instead i put the 1 folder containing all but i luckily found the PDF containing info so that was great!

Fantastic.... yeah, this can be confusing.... flightsim.to somehow seems to put in an additional folder..... hence the PDF guide

Ohh have you got a treat then!!.... I was making Maidstone a month a go but put it down for a while.... its 90% complete... so with your comment, I will revive Maidstone and release on or before this weekend
