    Description

    Hallstatt is a small town in the district of Gmunden, in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. Situated between the southwestern shore of Hallstätter See and the steep slopes of the Dachstein massif, the town lies in Salzkammergut region, on the national road linking Salzburg and Graz.

    Hallstatt is at the core of the "Hallstatt-Dachstein/Salzkammergut Cultural Landscape" declared as one of the World Heritage Sites in Austria by UNESCO in 1997. Hallstatt is known for its production of salt, dating back to prehistoric times, and gave its name to the Hallstatt culture, the archaeological culture linked to Proto-Celtic and early Celtic people of the Early Iron Age in Europe, c. 800–450 BC.


    NOTE: The available photogrammetry data is a little lackluster and really not good, due to the town being built into the mountain, allowing images only to be taken from one side. This results in lower quality 3D data. However, I believe the scenery is still better than the generic ingame one. Now Hallstatt looks like Hallstatt!

    Haha, last year, when I was in China, a chinese girl asked me, if I know the most beautiful city in the world. I said no, no idea, and then she said Hallstatt...

    I just love a small alpine town in AU. It reminds me of fond times at The Sport Hotel in Reifnitz. It was sold and it's a parking lot now, arg! 😢

    Is it possible to update the textures? Right now it looks unnaturally purple on the screenshots.

    These textures are already color corrected, personally I think its fine once you're in game.
    I can try to desaturate the blues/purples a little more, if you wish so.

    I know the sims are all about flying, but is there any chance to increase the texture resolution so it doesn't look like ps2 graphics?

    No, there is not, because the available photogrammetry data isnt better. This is the best quality available.

    JA! Nur mit der Ruhe :D Das sind größere Projekte, händisch kaum machbar. Deshalb warte ich bis das Earth2MSFS Plugin besser funktioniert, weil momentan hab ich nur Probleme damit.
