World update 7

Unfortunately, Asobo included this observatory in World Update 7, making all my initial work useless !

So i made a version 2.0, that you can use on-top of WU7.

It expands in-game version with :

- more details, people, animals

- documentation about the observatory goals and history

 

The Parkes radio-telescope was built in 1961 and has a disk of 64 meters in diameter, the largest movable dish in the world.

In 2007, it discovered Fast Radio Bursts, coming from the Small Magellanic Cloud. Recent results indicated these bursts probably come from magnetars.

During the Apollo program, the telescope was used to receive TV broadcasts from the Moon.

Since 2016, the telescope is part of the Breakthrough Listen program, that searches signals from extraterrestrial technologies.
