KAKR (Akron Fulton International Airport) Version 1.0
KAKR is the original airport in the Akron, Ohio (USA) area. It is the original home of the Goodyear Zeppelin Company who built dirigibles in the first part of the 20th Century. However, after the crash of the Hindenburg, the glory of those fantastic airship died off in the United States. But, Goodyear persisted in building the USS Akron, a helium filled dirigible commissioned by the United States Navy.
After the dirigibles were phased out, Goodyear Tire and Rubber company designed and built its famous "Goodyear Blimps", who are world famous for capturing video feeds of major sporting events. Although Goodyear has moved away from KAKR (one kilometer east at Wingfoot Lake), Lockheed Martin purchased the 1929 dirigible hangar and uses it for aircraft research and development.
KAKR calls themselves an "International" airport due to the GA and Executive traffic to and from Canada.
I have tried to catch the essence of this small airport by include the 1931 terminal, the 1929 dirigible hangar (which is still in use today), and the Summit Air FBO. I have also included MB Kit company's facility and will continue to add more structures including NextStep's new facility, the executive hangar condos, and Lockheed Martins facility.
All taxiways, approach system, taxiway signs, and runways have been corrected and work with ATC.

Installation:
There are two (2) packages kakr-akron-fulton-intl (the airport) and kakrbldg (buildings) in the KAKR1.zip file. Extract the zip file and copy both packages into your Community Folder.

What a fun airport to fly around, taxi around and explore! Thans for adding another fun destination to take off and land from! I shared some pics, exploring it in my Carenado bi-plane. Very nice modeling!

Wow. This is fantastic! I own about a dozen payware airports, and many of the features of this airfield surpass any of them. The blimp hangar (can't wait to fly the Volocopter in there) and the 1931 terminal are especially excellent. The night lighting is superb (would love to see the 1931 terminal lighting be even more dramatic). I had so much fun just exploring everything, it's clear that this is a labor of love that took you many many hours. Know that those hours are appreciated! It would be amazing if you could make spawnable parking spots inside the hangars (including the dirigible hangar), but I'm guessing that if this were possible you would already have done it.

Wow, thank you for your kindness. I can definitely make parking spots in the hangars. I'll add them on my next update, sometime after Sim Update 7, which comes out shortly.
