    Description

    Land's End is my second favouritest airport before St Marys on the Isles of Scilly and rather handily that's pretty much the only place it flies to.

    A geezer who works there told me that almost every single person passing through is overjoyed to be there and you can't really say that of most airports. 

    Why should you as a discerning flyingist choose this over other versions?

    Main differences are -

    New taxi system with parking space 5 starting off inside an open hangar. 

    This version retains runway 25's sloping gradient. 

    A juicier terminal overall with plenty of opportunity for snacking. 

    More effort put into the areas around the approaches.

    Water mask for the approach. 

    A few moving boats, vehicles and animals.

    Now with a 2024 version. This is split into two folders because I can't be arsed to make 2024 models. Click again on the folder to find them.

    Refines and improves various details. You may never notice. I don't care. I will. 

    Also added is a 2024 specific version available separately. This has 2024 specific tweaks, nukes the trees and should definitely override the - much worse than I remember in 2020 - streamed version.

    Very nice scenery. Flew from St. Marys which is also lovely. Minor issue though: I tried to check out some ice cream from Scilly cows, but the box was empty. Very sad. Supply chain issue?

    It feels very uncomfortable on the mainland, seeps back into the bedrock and heads for home.

    Yeah with MSFS 2024 you get pansies and goats in the fields, but that is not my scene 🤣

    I've been travelling the world the last few months. And may well again.

    Not a fan of 2024 either, my internet is so slow it's unbearable, but I can see where plenty of stuff is better.

    I won't be best pleased the day they turn off 2020, but maybe combining the terrain streaming means it lives on as long as future versions do.

    Just thought I would give this a go in 2024 and it seems to be okay, no major issues that came out anyway. one of my favourite little airports. Also Tried St Marys and thats the same, good stuff

    The start able hangar doors are always open. The other hangar varies with the day of the week.

    I may get around to some doors that open with proximity at some point.

    Hi,

    Not sure what's happened but I've not flown over here since the last update of the scenery, but I did a flight from St Mary's and noticed this issue when flying towards/over Lands end - if I delete your mod it looks fine (albeit with a terrible rendition of St Just as I have also removed the Asobo version as well).

    Whilst typing this, I remembered that I had an older version from when I had to back up my community folder, due to needing to re-install windows, and that version works fine (I couldn't tell you which version it is - maybe 2.3 as it seems I backed up in May 2023).

    Looks like you're missing the water mask texture, and an awful lot more of them. Best way to solve it is to completely delete the mod and redownload it.

    Sorted it.

    Not sure what the difference between what I did when I re-downloaded it this afternoon and now but it's all sorted and looking fantastic.

    So i always go for SuperSpud scenery over all else, however how do i turn off Microsofts version, does the community folder automatically tier above default?

    To be certain you can delete the Asobo version in your content manager from the main screen.

    Some people say keeping the original is fine, but I recall having some replication with two versions of the same place installed for certain airports.

    Created the GSX Pro profile for this and actually got the opening doors to work to go along with it. I certainly wouldn't have.
