    Description

    Wilmington International Airport (ICAO: KILM) is a public airport located just north of Wilmington, North Carolina, in unincorporated Wrightsboro, Cape Fear Township, New Hanover County.

    I'm proud to release version 2.0 of this airport! The general goal was to bring this up-to-par with my KTTA release. New features in this version include:

    - Updated building meshes for the gate/terminal with full PBR textures

    - Custom satellite imagery for the airport grounds

    - Various fixes to taxiways/PAPI lights/etc

    - No more terrain issues from the previous version

    More custom models are in the works for various other buildings such as Modern Aviation FBO and the US Customs office. However, they are placeholder'd with standard MSFS buildings for now. This is already such a huge improvement over the previous version of this airport that I wanted to go ahead and release a 2.0 while I work on other improvements.

    Every time I try to load this addon the hangers and modern aviation buildings are overlapped with the default buildings, is there anyway to fix this?

    This would be an amazing 2024 upgrade if you have the time, particularly around the jetways. Everything else looks good in '24

    Anyone having issues with the jetways and use GSX, and have them disabled, re-enable jetways. Most of the time freeware developers use Asobo assets so if you disable them in GSX they will be missing in the scenery. I re-enabled the KILM jetways via GSX and they’re back!!

    The jetways are not connected to the terminal. Gaps are in the jetways.

    I just downloaded this airport, it looks fantastic. Although none of the jetways are connected to the terminal building, there are sections of jetways missing from all of them.

    I recently flew out of KILM and they have finished the new terminal expansion. Are you planning to update the main terminal?

    Unfortunately I don't have many photos or other reference of the new terminal to work off. Certainly if I can get my hands on those in the future I'd be interested in revisiting.

    I would honestly wait. I live here in the Wilmington area, and they just announced another large expansion to the main entrance and other places. The renderings look promising.

    Fantastic work! I'm originally from Wilmington. I've seen this airport change across the decades. I think you've done a remarkable job modeling this airport. My only issue, and someone may have raised this already, is the jetway bridges are disconnected from the airport. The parts that connect to the airplane are sitting out by themselves. Looks a little strange. Other than that, looks great.

    This scenery is amazing, as someone who works here it is almost exactly like how it is in person. One thing I would recommend changing is the spawn at Modern Aviation. Planes are normally parked on the sides of the yellow box in front so the spawn that is in the middle is incorrect, having one or 2 on each side like how you put the bonanza would be perfect. Images of what I mean should be attached, Avgas go on the side with the bonanza and jets go on the other side with the noses facing each other, if you could make that change this scenery would be near perfect in my opinion

    Awesome, one last thing I noticed later is that the lobby at Modern is actually backwards, the door past the front desk goes to the ramp, not the parking lot, the lobby itself is amazingly detailed it just needs to be turned 180 degrees
