This addon provides a package of heliports in and around Kyiv, Ukraine.

Updated 08/2023 with TWO new heliports:

Parkovy Center (U074) - Located near the urban heart of Kyiv, this convention center has hosted numerous cultural, business, and charity events.  The rooftop heliport provides direct access to the convention center, and is also within convenient walking distance of many notable landmarks such as the Mariyinsky Palace, Dynamo Stadium, and Independence Square.  Constructed around 2011-2012.  For night lighting, you must also download and install the EDHK Lights & Objects Developers Pack.

Druzhby Narodiv Yacht Club (U199) - Located on an island in the Dnipro river just north of the urban center of Kyiv, this boating club has been around for many years, but the heliport was only added in 2016.  To see all static objects, you must also download and install EthnicFS Vehicles Library, Static Boats 3D Model Library, and Seaplane Asset Library.

Heliport Kyiv Challenge (U139) - Located on the west bank of the Dnipro river just south of the Kyiv city center, this heliport is home base for a variety of Robinson helicopters used for aerial sight-seeing tours and flight instruction.  Its helipad features night lighting to facilitate tourist flights over the dazzling city lights of nighttime Kyiv.  Built in 2011.

Mezhyhirya Heliport (U101) - Located just north of Kyiv near the village of Novi Petrivtsi, this heliport is located on the grounds of the Mezhyhirya estate, which was once the residence of Ukraine's former president Viktor Yanukovych.  Widely criticized for massive corruption, Yanukovych was removed from the presidency in 2014.  Today the estate serves as a museum of the former president's opulent lifestyle.  The heliport was built around 2010-2011.

Hydropark Mini-Aerodrome (U073) - Located on an island in the Dnipro river, this heliport has its own marina, and sits just upstream of various beachfront recreation facilities.  Naturally it serves tourists, sightseers, and other recreational flights.  In addition to a helipad and parking, it also has a water runway for fixed-wing seaplanes.  Choose runway 07 for the helipad, or 34 for the water runway.  Built in 2008.

Bilohorodka Heliport (HD2P) - Located about 35 kilometers west of the Kyiv city center, this heliport is located at an Emergency Technical Center of Energoatom, the national nuclear energy company of Ukraine.  Nearby are the Kyiv Chaika (Kyiv West, UKKS) airfield for fixed-wing aircraft, and the Chaika Motorsports Complex.

Chornobyl Heliport (U035) - An abandoned heliport within the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, this facility was used as a base for helicopters responding to the nuclear accident there in 1986.  Smothering the exposed reactor core by dropping sand, boron, and other materials, the crews were exposed to high doses of radiation.  Today, helicopters from Kyiv pass near this location on sightseeing tours between the city and the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone.

The assigned ICAO codes are fictitious, but based on real designations, subject to the 4-character code format limitation of MSFS.

Each heliport includes both "runway" and parking start positions, so you can choose between cold-and-dark or ready-for-takeoff starts.
