GSX Profile for SKBO Bogotá El Dorado International Airport by VPilot Designs

This is an updated release of the GSX profile for the pay ware scenery SKBO El Dorado Intl by VPilot Designs. Profile for gates was made to resemble reality as much as possible and uses the latest Colombian AIS information from Aerocivil Colombia – May 18, 2023 & OPAIN PLAN OPERATIVO DEL AEROPUERTO INTERNACIONAL EL DORADO LUIS CARLOS GALÁN SARMIENTO (Aerocivil Colombia’s Document MSER-6.0-11-021 – October 2025).

CAUTION: THERE ARE TWO VERSIONS AVAILABLE IN THIS PACKET: ONE FOR MSFS 2020 AND ONE FOR MSFS2024! 

Custom Python Script:

• 4 Files to choose from:

  • SKBO-JCPR_VP_ES_2024.py: Relabels gates with Spanish names  – MSFS 2024 ONLY!

  • SKBO-JCPR_VP_EN_2024.py: Relabels gates with English names  – MSFS 2024 ONLY!
  • SKBO-JCPR_VP_ES_2020.py: Relabels gates with Spanish names  – MSFS 2020 ONLY!
  • SKBO-JCPR_VP_EN_2020.py: Relabels gates with English names  – MSFS 2020 ONLY!
• Custom Stop position: All gates and positions in the scenery have custom stop positions dependent on the airplane type.
• New Gate Names:

  • Terminal 1 - International – Gates 22-62

  • Terminal 1 - Domestic Concourse A – Gates 71-89
  • Terminal 1 - Domestic Concourse B – Gates 11-20
  • Terminal 1 – Remote Stands – Stands 101-107
  • Terminal 1 – International Remote Stands – Gates 63-68 (MSFS2024 Only)
  • Terminal 2 - Puente Aereo – Gates 1F-10F
  • Cargo Apron - International – Ramp 10E-17E
  • Cargo Apron - Domestic – Ramp 2E-5E (MSFS 2024 Gates 1E-5E) 
  • Colombian Air Force - Military Air Transport Command

  • Remote Stands – Stands 18E-28E

Features for all gates:

• VDGS (As per MSER-6.0-11-021 from October 2025)
• Marshaller – If applicable, the marshaller has been positioned properly within the scenery
• Corrected Stop Positions
• Underground refueling system
• Custom pushback paths in accordance with the corresponding pushback spots as defined in the Colombian AIS.
• Custom vehicle locations for each gate
• Gates F1-F10 have been customized to use the GSX passenger walkers to model passengers boarding/deboarding without the bus and walking to the terminal.

Installation:

MSFS2020

1. Delete any files in %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS that start with SKBO

2. Extract the .zip file and move SKBO-JCPR-VP2020.ini file to %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS

3. Move EITHER SKBO-JCPR_VP_ES_2020.py OR SKBO-JCPR_VP_EN_2020.py python files to %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS

4. If installed correctly there should be only 2 files starting with SKBO in the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS folder: one ending in .ini and another in .py.

MSFS2024

1. Delete any files in %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS that start with SKBO

2. Extract the .zip file and move SKBO-JCPR-VP2024.ini file to %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS

3. Move EITHER SKBO-JCPR_VP_ES_2024.py OR SKBO-JCPR_VP_EN_2024.py python files to %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS

4. If installed correctly there should be only 2 files starting with SKBO in the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS folder: one ending in .ini and another in .py.

IMPORTANT:
1. REMEMBER TO REPOSITION AT THE GATE WITH GSX AT THE START OF THE FLIGHT.

2. THIS PROFILE WAS TESTED AND CREATED WHILE HAVING THE ‘SU12 NAVDATA API’ OPTION IN GSX ACTIVE! IT HAS NOT BEEN TESTED WITHOUT THIS OPTION ACTIVE.

3. ONLY ONE PYTHON FILE (.py) FILES CAN BE IN THE %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS FOLDER!!!

Troubleshooting in Case Profile doesn’t Load:

Please send me a message if you encounter an error or any other issues. This should work as any other
standard GSX profile.

Este es el perfil de GSX para el escenario pago SKBO El Dorado Intl de VPilot Designs. El perfil se construyó lo más cercano a la realidad y usando la última información de la base AIS de la Aerocivil Colombia a Mayo 18, de 2023 & OPAIN PLAN OPERATIVO DEL AEROPUERTO INTERNACIONAL EL DORADO LUIS CARLOS GALÁN SARMIENTO – Aerocivil MSER-6.0-11-021 de Octubre de 2025, más información de prácticas operacionales reales usadas en el aeropuerto.

ATENCION: HAY DOS VERSIONES DE ESTE PERFIL INCLUIDOS EN ESTE ARCHIVO, UNO PARA MSFS 2020 Y OTRA PARA MSFS2024!

Código Personalizado de Python:

• 4 archivos para escoger:

  •  SKBO-JCPR_VP_ES_2024: Cambia los nombres de las posiciones en GSX con nombres en español – SOLO MSFS 2024! 

  •  SKBO-JCPR_VP_EN_2024.py: Cambia los nombres de las posiciones en GSX con nombres en ingles – SOLO MSFS 2024! 
  •  SKBO-JCPR_VP_ES_2020: Cambia los nombres de las posiciones en GSX con nombres en español – SOLO MSFS 2020!

• Posiciones de parada personalizada: Todas las puertas del escenario tienen puestos de parada personalizada que varían según el tipo de avión usado.

• Posiciones de parada personalizada se verán en la PROXIMA actualización debido al alto numero de puertas para personalizar.

Características para todas las Puertas:
• Sistema VDGS (Basado en MSER-6.0-11-021 de Octubre 2025)
• Paletero (guía de aviones) – Si aplica, se posesiono correctamente en el escenario
• Posiciones de parada corregidas
• Sistema de combustible subterráneo
• Puntos (Spots) de retroceso personalizados para cada puerta de acuerdo con el AIS de la
Aerocivil Colombia
• Posiciones de vehículos personalizados para cada puerta
• Las puertas F1-F10 hacen uso de los pasajeros caminantes de GSX que modelan a los
pasajeros abordar/desabordar los aviones caminando desde la terminal hasta el avión sin el uso de
buses.

Instalación:

MSFS2020

1. Borre todos los archivos en %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS que empiecen con SKBO

2. Extraiga el archivo ‘SKBO-JCPR-VP2020.ini’ en %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS

3. Mueva SKBO-JCPR_VP_EN_2020.py O SKBO-JCPR_VP_ES_2020.py a %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS

4. Al final, si se instaló correctamente, debería haber solo DOS (2) archivos en la carpeta que empiecen con SKBO: uno que termine en .ini y otro en .py.

MSFS2024

1. Borre todos los archivos en %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS que empiecen con SKBO

2. Extraiga el NUEVO archivo ‘SKBO-JCPR-VP2024.ini’ en %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS

3. Mueva SKBO-JCPR_VP_EN_2024.py O SKBO-JCPR_VP_ES_2024.py a %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS

4. Al final, si se instaló correctamente, debería haber solo DOS (2) archivos en la carpeta que empiecen con SKBO: uno que termine en .ini y otro en .py.

IMPORTANTE:

1. RECUERDE REPOSICIONARSE EN LA POSICION DE PARQUEO CON GSX AL INICIAR UN VUELO DESDE SKCL

2. ¡OPCION DE ‘SU12 NAVDATA API’ ACTIVADA EN GSX! NO SE HA PROBADO SIN ESTA OPCION ACTIVADA.

3. ¡SOLO UN ARCHIVO DE PYTHON (py) PUEDE ESTAR EN EL FOLDER %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS!

En caso de que el Perfil no Funcione:
Por favor envíe un mensaje si encuentra algún error u otro problema. Esto debería funcionar como
cualquier perfil de GSX estándar.
