    Description

    ANNOUNCEMENT :

    During the "August 2024 Developer Stream", World Update XVIII was announced. It will focus on Germany, Austria & Switzerland. All 3D assets it includes are made by GAYA Simulations.

    Fortunately, this World Update will also include a new (and very likely, better) rendition of the Kitzbüheler Horn.

    I will therefore Archive this mod, in favor of the upcoming World Update. Part of the reason is that I also no longer have time to maintain this.

    When available, do not forget to delete this mod from your community fodler, and to "Get & Install" the free World Update XVIII from the In-Game Marketplace.

    This adds the Kitzbüheler Horn antenna (Tirol, Austria).

    Please note:
    - The render distance makes it impossible to see from far away
    - The folder size is currently pretty huge (100MB)

    This mod is still work in progress, I hope to detail it more in the future.

    Things I might add in the future:
    - Missing antenna props
    - Improved model (&LODs)
    - Other surrounding buildings
    - Smaller install size

    This is my first every scenery (and 3D model) ever !! Please keep in mind the model may therefore not be as sophisticated as some others here. I'll do my best to keep improving it along my learning journey.

    I can recommend to also use:

    - Austria high resolution terrain mod 10m or 20m, by Troglodytus

    - Project lifts europe, by mamu82

    - The nearby airport of St Johann (LOIJ), by Sven Schill, or by Sergio Del Rosso


    Known issues:
    - Incompatible with the we-love-vfr-region-1 mod

    sehr cooler mod. gehört einfach dazu in LOWS. Ist dein nächster Sender der Patscherkofel- und Seegrubesender in Innsbruck? ;) danke jedenfalls.


    EDIT: hab das mit dem GAISberg Sender verwechselt. aber allemal schöne scenery.

    Also für einen der aus Kitzbühel kommt, ist es schön zu sehen, dass es doch Leute gibt, die solche Mods kreieren.
    Maybe a mod will created, that makes Kitzbühel look like better than Vanilla ..

    Hello, it's great. When flying in Tirol, i am missing the antennas on the Patscherkofel and Rangger Köpfl (both near LOWI). It wood be great, if you could create these. A question: Where are you from?

    Hi, I'm from Strasbourg, France. I've been coming to ski in Kitzbühel almost every winter, that's why I've had a very special interest in making this specific antenna. I'm unfortunately not sure yet if I'll find the time to make any other Austrian landmarks.

    That´s the way, typical drugdealers use to work: at first, they make their audience hoping to get more and more of their stuff, but then threatening to shut down any more supplies.

    No, sir, this is illegal here in Austria, you can´t get away like that!

    Austria needs to get pretty in MSFS aswell, you know how it looks in real. So please keep up the great work and keep more landmarks coming.
