    Ketchikan International Airport (IATA: KTN, ICAO: PAKT, FAA LID: KTN) in Alaska is a state-owned, public-use airport located one nautical mile (2 km) west of the central business district of Ketchikan, a city in Ketchikan Gateway Borough in Alaska that has no direct road access to the outside world or to the airport.[1] The airport is located on Gravina Island, just west of Ketchikan on the other side of the Tongass Narrows. Passengers must take a seven-minute[2] ferry ride across the water to get to the airport from the town.

    As per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 108,837 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008,[3] 96,996 enplanements in 2009, and 100,138 in 2010.[4] It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2015-2019, which categorized it as a primary commercial service (nonhub) airport (more than 10,000 enplanements per year) based on 103,136 enplanements in 2012

    Thanks for the airport redone. For some reason, I do not see the tower, just the 2 ac boxes on the roof. Anyway, thanks.

    great job. but I was expecting to see the famous Gravina Island Bridge, commonly referred to as the "Bridge to Nowhere" :-)

    I wanted to do it but project was cancelled (read the following)
    After canceling this $398 million bridge, Sarah Palin's administration spent more than $25 million to build the Gravina Island Highway, which would have connected with the proposed bridge
    In 2015, after consideration of several lower-cost options, the Gravina Island Bridge project was finally cancelled, an improved ferry service being selected instead of constructing the bridge
    McCain himself labeled the bridge as wasteful spending
    After canceling the bridge, Palin's administration spent more than $25 million to build the Gravina Island Highway, which would have connected with the proposed bridge. According to Alaskan state officials, the road project went ahead because the money came from the federal government, and would otherwise have had to be returned.Because "no one seems to use" this road, it has been called the "road to nowhere" by local Alaskans

    Not sure how the wavy/undulation of the taxiways, especially to RW 11 made it through testing. Very undulating and the left corner perpendicular to the RW is precarious especially for large airliners like the 737-800.

    I have the same problem. Could be a great improvement over the stock airport, but the runway and taxiways are just too rough/wavy.

    Nice scenery, well done!
    Unfortunately both taxiways leading to the tower/terminal are very undulating (wavy surface)

    Thank you for this airport! Good job! I've added it to my Alaska Airlines flights with my PDMG Boeing 737-700. Alaska Airlines offers service here from Seattle.
