    LetsFly is a proof of concept for a unique flight planning utility. It’s a flight planner for the times you ask yourself; Where should I fly today?

    I primarily made it for myself but thought others might find it handy as well. I seemed to get stuck doing the same routes all the way back to FSX. Using this I have explored a lot more areas, which is really cool with this amazing scenery.

    LetsFly is a simple utility for creating interesting random flight plans using user-defined search parameters. Explore new areas, find a flight within a user defined range, find the shortest grass runway in a location to test your skills. Easily save your favorite flight plans, or get detailed information about the airport including weather.

    Available Search Parameters:
    -  Location: Continent / Country / Region / Random
    -  Range - Within Min and Max nautical miles
    -  Airport Size: Small, Medium, Large, etc.
    -  Runway Type: Concrete, Grass, etc.
    -  Required Airport Length - Min & Max
    -   Fuel Available
    -   Available Landing Systems: ALS, VASI, ILS

    LetsFly is not a full fledged flight planner and you will need to use other tools for detailed flight planning. LetsFly will give you a possible “journey” how you plan the trip is up to you. All airports should plug into MSFS2020 without an issue, and you can setup your flight from there (VFR/IFR, etc).

    Easy to install: Just drag the folder (in the ZIP) to where you would like. Please be sure to have the latest .NET runtime installed. Windows 10 x64 compatible.

    LAST UPDATE: V1.2
    - Search results now show the bearing to the destination airport.  Ex: North, South, etc.  Helpful if you want to head a particular direction.

    I find this very useful. By the way, is there any way to enlarge the screen? The text is too small and difficult for me to read. Please advise.

    Works pretty well for the most part. But I've been unable to get it to work for seaplane. Even with all airport types selected (but only "Water Runway" selected) it finds nothing. A shame as I was hoping to use this to find Ideas for seaplane tours. But nonetheless, for every other use case, it does extremely well

    Well, I who didn't want a Neofly, an Air manager, a Skyspark, because it was too complete and asked not to use the liners from the start, I find this little software more than perfect. :

    I love this, too, Brian, and use it all the time. So much so, that it would be really great if the 'Save' parameters feature could be implemented.

    Great idea! It will be fun for flying between seaplane bases or whatever. I was looking for something to generate a destination. Works great!

    Any chance of making an option for it to check an aviation weather source online and add an IFR/VFR filter? This would allow it to find us an airport not only based upon all the current criteria but also one that matches for either IFR conditions or VFR...or perhaps add another filter for winds!

    Waste of my time, couldn't get it to work and your instructions are pretty lacking. I ran the exe, put in all the info, all the details of the flight appeared in the right window.. clicked "Let's Fly".... NOTHING! I appreciate the effort though

    All it does is randomly generate a departure airport and destination airport based upon the parameters you input. You said that all showed up on the right side for you - I don't know what isn't working for you? Can you explain so we can help?

    Oh, so I have to do it manually? I thought clicking let's fly would start the sim and load the info.

    No, it doesn't start the sim. "Lets Fly" will just generate a flight plan, like a refresh button.

    Thanks nate262 for the tech support! I'd put you on the payroll if I made any money. :-) Yes, as mentioned in the description and readme this little app simply gives you a possible flight with the parameters you set. I do all my flight planning with simbrief, so injecting just the from/to into MSFS would do nothing for me. But maybe I'll look at integration down the road.

    But can you add a filter that you can set a maximal flighttime?

    Interesting idea! I'll put it on the improvement list. I got used to doing this with the min and max distance setting, and ballparking it with my average speed.
