    TFDi Design MD-11 w/ cabin LTU International Fleet - Image 1

    Description

    This is a repaint for the TFDi Design MD-11 in colors of LTU International.

    The following registrations are included:

    D-AERB (PW logo in engine cowlings)

    D-AERW

    D-AERX

    D-AERZ (white nose)

     

    To reduce file size I have added a 'livery' called 'LTU Commons'

    In MSFS 2020 it doesn't show up in the sim menu intentionally.

    In MSFS 2024 it shows up and can be used as D-AERW.

    Installation via Drag and Drop:

    1: Extract the *.zip file to a temporary location, ie desktop
    2: Insert the folder 'tfdidesign-md11-ltu-commons' and at least one of the registration folders e.g. 'tfdidesign-md11-ltu-daerb' into your community folder
    3: Start MSFS, choose the installed livery and enjoy!
    4: Leave the 'LTU Commons' installed as long as you use this pack, as shared textures are stored there needed for all liveries of this package.

    Moin, die 2020er scheinen nicht mehr zu funktionieren. Bei mir tauchen sie im Menü jedenfalls nicht auf.

    Funktioniert bei mir auch nach dem letzten Update noch einwandfrei. Sicher, dass du die 2020er und nicht die 2024 verwendest? Die würde nämlich in 2020 nicht erscheinen.

    Could you please explain your rating, what are you trying to achieve here? The video is a bit too low resolution. I can get the base idea of the design but definitely no details, that's why I based the cabin on LTUs A330s. As for the configs, well I could add the .ini file for the airframes, but there is no way atm to include them into the liveries itself. You'd need to copy them manually, so I tend to not include them, as this usually increases the frustration for people if something isn't working.

    just trying to help you because there are no pictures indeed and reading the caption I just thought you didn't want to base it on the A330. No the rating has nothing to do with what I had commented it was more of a random question because every livery behaved differently. But if you want to know: the logo titles on the tail are too large/a more modern version and the reg could be larger

    I can increase the registration a bit in the next update. The tail logo is already a custom one. It was quite large irl the L and the U hit almost the outer edges. The spacing might be a bit different, idk I have seen at least 2 different version there. I can try to adjust it a bit again. As for the cabin, It seem to be a lighter grey base color with darker grey stripes, but I am not sure. There are only one or two moments in the video it is close enough there. I can try to add it as far as I see it. It's just weird there isn't a single actual photo available.

    Yes, thank you and I can understand the frustration. There are (almost) zero photos of the LTU Tristar cabin, and mind you that is after almost 24yrs of service with many more airframes

    Short answer: no. Long answer: Even if you manage to change everything inside the configs to GE engines, the tail and the engines are specifically made for the PW variant (just like in real life), so they would be completely white as the specific GE textures aren't included.

    I love your liveries. Thank you so much for your work.
    But I have a question.
    Your liveries aren't working correctly with GSX. For example, when I use the Swissair or LTU liveries, all seated passengers are pink. This isn't the case with the standard TFDI livery. Do you have any idea why?

    Thanks for your feedback. In my understanding GSX modifies the model file, well the MD-11 doesn't have that at least in 2020. The passenger textures are stored within GSX. Maybe you need to update GSX after inserting the liveries so it knows where to grab the textures. Other than that, no idea.

    OK. Thank you for the response.
    The model files are located in the MD-11 main directory. GSX also modifies these. However, I already had the Swissair livery installed and updated GSX today. Unfortunately, that didn't help. I was hoping you might have another idea. Thanks anyway for your help.

    Well I might be the only person who never really got in GSX in MSFS. If you check their forum there are multiple people getting this. Did you follow the instructions from the GSX manual p. 10? In short run the installer again, enter GSX config page, let it work, close installer

    Don´t want to pressure you and definetely won´t ask the "when", but please please please consider updating this. It´s the only good LTU livery for this bird I could find :D

    It's coming at some point. It mostly depends on my available time per day. And I have made quite a lot liveries for the MD-11 which all need to be updated. Takes a bit obviously.
