Grafenwöhr Army Airfield - ETIC

This airfield is part of Grafenwöhr Training area which is one of the biggest army training facilities in europe, located in upper palatinate (Bavaria).

But not only the US Army is training there, there are often other nationalities as well, like germany, poland etc.

The army airfield is mostly used for rotary aircraft, such as UH-60, AH-64, CH-46 etc. However also military transport aircraft like the C130 Hercules can be seen every now and then. 

The runway (34/12) has got a length of nearly 1000 meters x 24 meters. It has got MALS approach lights on either side of the runway. Both sides of the runway are also equipped with VASI lights.

In this scenery you got several parking spots for cold and dark on the main apron as well as cold and dark on the "Forward Arming and Refueling Point" (FARP) located west of the airfield. There is also a grass runway located in the woods a bit south west of Grafenwöhr army airfield. 

Due to the lack of pictures a lot of this scenery has been "freestyle", meaning that it will not look 1:1 like the real life counter part. I also do not know whether the taxiways are illuminated in real life or not. I did add taxi lights because it looks much better at night.

Open the downloaded file and place the "chrispiaviation_grafenwoehr" inside your community folder.
