Description
Welcome to Quimper, in the middle of French Cornouaille !
Located at the western tip of France, Quimper Pluguffan airport is a small airport serving southern Finistère and its wide variety of landscapes.Virtual pilot friends, take advantage of Quimper airport to visit the endless Breton coastline and to go to the many neighboring islands or to venture into the Arees mountains.
The region is known for its mild oceanic climate but the many winter gales should bring you some surprise in real weather.
To airliner pilots Quimper - UIP has a daily line to Paris Orly (ORY) airport and some seasonal lines including London City (LCY), Nice (NCE) and Figari in Corsica (FSC). The airport generally receives small modules of the ATR, CRJ / ERJ type but also occasionally medium-haul aircraft such as the 737 or the A321. Use the heavy ramp 2A (autonomous start) or the medium ramp 1A (pushback) if you are flying a medium-haul aircraft. In winter, approaches can be difficult due to the wind and the airport is equipped with an ILS CAT I approach system on runway 28 only. In case of difficulty, you can then divert to Brest (BES) equipped with an ILS CAT III approach system. To VFR pilots Quimper (UIP) has an aero club and many convenient parkings for network flights. Many VFR flight circuits are possible: 15 minutes south of the airport, you can explore the Glénan archipelago and the Breton Riviera. You can also head west to the legendary Sein island or take a break on the Ouessant island or in the bay of Quiberon. But beware, the region has many restricted airspace, such as the Crozon peninsula.
About
This is my first scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, more than 1500 objects were hand-placed on the area and at the edge of the airport. All buildings have been modeled with Blender, the mesh and the vegetation have been adjusted to be the most realistic.
Special thanks to Jimmy from BlueMesh who kindly shared his EC145 and Falcon 8X. Thanks as well to François, Loïc and Julie for the information and photos.

Breton à Pont l'Abbé cet aéroport est bien sûr mon préféré !
Peut-on espérer une mise à jour ?
NOTA !!!

Runway number fixing Due to the variation of the declination of magnetic north, the numbering of the main runway of the airport was changed: it becomes 09-27, instead of 10-28
