Description
Welcome to Skövde Airport. The one Swedish airport with the shortest time from opening to closing of regional trafic. It was opened in 1989 and closed 13 years later. The regional trafic was mainly to Arlanda in Stockholm. And when travellers started preferring the speed train X2000 the airport closed. Today it is mainly operated by general aviation, taxiflights, business flights, a flying club and a gliding club. In this version I have not modeled the gliding field or buildings. But the airport is very detailed with every building handcrafted with mostly PBR textures because I like to. I got very good help from Lennart Arvidssons models and photos from the airport and built everything in Blender from his Sketchup models. Happy flying.

The approach on runway 19 is not visible in the flight planner but the ILS works so you have to tune it manually 108.30

ESGR Skövde Airport
