    Get Charts - In-Game Panel - Image 1

    Description

A in-game panel that opens the corresponding chart pages in either ChartFox or SkyVector. This is an alternative to my EXE I created recently. This allows it to be in game.

    Instructions:
Unzip and place GetCharts-ingamepanels in Community folder.

Just type in your ICAO code and select ChartFox and/or SkyVector and it will open the corresponding pages in your default browser.

Please note that ChartFox requires a Vatsim account. For the application to open directly to the page, you may need to login to ChartFox and have it "Remember Me" on login so that the application can go straight to the page.

I am not a developer by any means, so please be patient and kind :)

Thank you so much for creating this convenient panel! Being able to enter ICAO codes and open ChartFox or SkyVector directly in the game saves virtual pilots a lot of time. On long flights, after setting up the flight path through this control panel and enabling autopilot, I often take the opportunity to open the game https://friday-nightfunkin.io to tap along and relax a bit. Even though you said I'm not a professional developer, this tool is truly amazing.

If you are still actively supporting this I suggest you add an option to open SkyVector at the a/c current location.
    e.g. https://skyvector.com/?ll=34.74037,-120.575082&chart=301&zoom=1

Unfortunately, the websites ChartFox and Skyvector block iFrames, which is what the in-game panel is built with. This a MSFS limitation rather than the app's limitation.

Unfortunately, the websites ChartFox and Skyvector block iFrames, which is what the in-game panel is built with. I have yet to test VR, but I think maybe if you use my app, then use the "Follow Me" function in VR, it will keep the browser in game.
