    Description

    Guwahati Airport is in the state of Assam in India.  Its official name is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Int'l Airport (VEGT). I have updated the airport as much as I could by correcting the taxi way names and signs, by adding ground support equipment, and adding some animals (always present in India).  Added a jetway to the old terminal on Apron I in order to represent the real airport.  I have added a new terminal building on Apron II.  This new building is borrowed from Banglore airport and it is the nearest look alike that I could find to the real new terminal. Additionally, I have placed a VOR, ILS Localizer and glide slope antennas in their correct locations.  Added VASI lights on one end which were missing.  On the other side of the airport, I have added militay hangars and some military hardware.

    I have borrowed and used items from numerous scenery and library files.  Therefore, I have added the links below for them to be installed.  I hope you like my effort and enjoy it.

    Some of the links had typo errors and hence could not be opened for downloading.  However, I have corrected the errors and good to go.

    Do I need to download all the links listed here and to add all of them to each MSFS Community folders? If so, why VEGT Download is not covering the whole airport?

    Yes, you have to download and install all the links. The reason for that is that we, the hobby airport designers, use MSFS SDK. Using SDK allows us to use objects and items from other designers airports and sceneries. This is the method used by majority of the designers. Just go for it and enjoy. ✈️👍

    I am sorry to read that you are not getting some of the features of VEGT. I have gone back and downloaded the airports both for 2020 and 2024. I re-installed them in my simulator and I did not see any problem. The airport appeared as I designed and all the light worked. The apron and taxiway light are default fs base lights and the terminal are from barisa-munda-airport-ranchi-verc (link above) and the from Kals library-2024 (include in down load file). Please look at it again and make sure that you have downloaded all the links quoted above and installed in your community folders for both 2020 and 2024. Good luck.

    Thank you it fixed after installing Ranchi but at VEGT there is no lighting at night.

    Thanks for your comment. I am sorry to say that I spawned VEGT on my MSFS 2024 and there was no issue about the lights. Both Terminal 1 & 2 aprons plus the runway were perfectly light up.

    Any update to make this compatible with MSFS2024? For some reason guwahati airport terminal doesn't show up in MSFS2024.

    I looked at the default VEGT and to my surprise there is no terminal. This happened in MSFS 2020 as well. I am wondering why there is no default terminal. There are only jetways that appear. I will get on it and install a terminal from the materials library.
    I am on holidays at present. When I get back, late February 2026, I will look at it.

    I have looked at VEGT and saw that in my MSFS 2020 version, I used Barisa Munda airport terminal. I also recommended that the file quoted above to be installed in your community folder.
    In MSFS 2024, I have done the same. I installed the above mentioned file in my 2024 community folder and the terminal appeared. I suggest you do the same and good luck.

    You've created a truly beautiful airport with your work.
    I do have one small point of criticism, though: When docking at the gate at night, there's lovely apron lighting, but unfortunately, the building windows remain completely dark.
    Could you change that?

    Thanks for your appreciative comment. The building lights are a part of default scenery and I cannot do much with it. However, I will certainly look at it and see if I can change it. Thanks.

    Great work, after getting all the libraries in your list the airport loaded up first time without any problems. However I have a question. A large car park is there on the military (Air Force) side of the airport - right near the runway. Its a huge rectangle filled with cars. This of course is not present at the real airport. How to remove it? Thanks for your great work!

    Thanks for your comment and it is highly appreciated. I agree with you about the unwanted car park. I tried to remove it but was not successful. Therefore, I left it. Sorry.

    This update is for MSFS 2024 only. Please download and replace the previous MSFS 2024 folders. In this update, I have corrected the runway numbering on the start of MSFS in VEGT. The start numbering were reversed but now corrected to show runway 02 and runway 22 correctly on the map during the initial start.
