Be aware that MSFS 2024 support is experimental for now!
MSFS 2024 and some add-ons have been supported since V3.0 (read the changelog for more info).

Currently, it supports the following:

Main features:

• Detects your currently installed AIRAC cycles
• Updates your AIRAC in a couple of clicks
• Update integrity - if any error occurs, your files will not be changed
• Calculates current and next AIRAC effective dates
• Performs a backup before updating (but you can disable it)
• Allows you to change the default AIRAC distros folder
• Allows you to select MSFS Community folder manually, as well as use automatic detection.
• Does not require installation (and consists of only one file)
• Does not require any additional programs to be installed (except for vc_redist, but most likely you already have it installed)
• Does not require an Internet connection
• Does not write anything to the Windows Registry or anywhere else
• Does not send anything over the Internet
• Lightweight - less than 6 MB!
• No ads, no payment required - COMPLETELY FREE!

The program will be updated in the future.

I will add support for new MSFS add-ons as they are released. This also applies for MSFS 2024, though it is not yet supported.

How to use:

• Download the ZIP archive and unpack it anywhere you like.
• Download AIRAC distros and place them in the ‘AIRAC’ folder (located in the same directory as the program).
• Run the program.
• Select the products you want to update by clicking either the checkbox or the product name (you can also try the “Invert selected” button).
• If you like, you can select a different AIRAC cycle for each product by clicking its value in the rightmost column. By default, the most recent cycle is selected.
• Click the “Update selected” button.

• Leonardo – MaddogX MD-82 support *
• Aerosoft – CRJ 550/700/900/1000 support *
• Option to display only products with outdated AIRAC
• Tool for removing old AIRAC distros
• Tool for removing AIRAC backups
• Notification when the effective AIRAC cycle changes
• Maybe support for X-Plane (but I’m not sure)
• Anything else you suggest that I find interesting.

* Note: - neither I nor my friends own any of these add-ons. So I need someone who owns them to test if the program works correctly. If you can help - please contact me.

What I definitely will NOT do:

• Create a fancy multi-hundred-megabyte UI - one of the main goals of this program is to maintain a lightweight executable with an easy-to-use interface.
• Include any ads, paid features, subscriptions etc. The program will remain completely free. Forever.
• Add translations to other languages. If you can use any of the supported add-ons, I assume you know English enough to use AIRAC Updater :)

Be aware, that despite my efforts to eliminate errors in the code, some may still exist.

If you encounter any errors while using the program - please let me know.

Also, feel free to share any thoughts on how to improve the program. Maybe I will do that. Maybe not.

The program has been tested on Windows 10 x64 and Windows 11 x64. Other versions have not been tested (anyway, for MSFS 2020 you should have at least Windows 10).
