WARNING: EARLY PUBLIC ALPHA Release
The Northrop Grumman E-2 Hawkeye is an American all-weather, carrier-capable tactical airborne early warning (AEW) aircraft.
This mod aims to bring it into MSFS (currently FS2020, no bug reports from 2024 will be accepted).
We decided to go ahead and push this out to the public as a free Addon as we dont really have the time and resources to make this even remotely close to Study Level at this stage and we dont feel that anything less than that should be made payware (as we draw closer to that stage though, this will most likely change, the version on flightsim.to will always remain as a "DEMO", same as we have done with our Carrier).
NOTE on FS2024: The Plane is flyable but no efforts will be made to tweak it there at the moment, in our Oppinion FS24 is a BETA at best and as long as the Devkit isnt fixed and all the bugs are in the game, we have no plans to switch to it (Subject to change on a moment's notice)
Current Features:
- Full Exterior and Interior 3D Model (Interior early stages, 99% of switches are INOP)
- Control Surfaces Animated
- Wingfold, Tailhook Animated (Operated via built-in Simvars)
- Radar Dome animation (Bound to wing lights - Thanks to touching cloud for pointers regarding coding)
- Launch bar animation - Bound to default MSFS Launch bar controls
- Landing Gear Retraction Animated, Gear Doors and Struts TBA
- Flight model approximation
- Working Switches for Battery, Starters, Generators, Taxi Lights (more switches TBA)
- WTT G3X Avionics with PMS GTN750 Integration (GTN Free or Premium, should work without though)
- Working Autopilot (via G3X Suite)
Wing Folding is bound to MSFS Wing Fold Controls found in control options
Tailhook is bound to MSFS Tail Hook Controls found in control options

Grumman E-2D Hawkeye EARLY ALPHA WIP
The Grumman E-2D Hawkeye add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator is an early alpha version of the American all-weather, carrier-capable tactical airborne early warning aircraft. This free mod features a partially developed 3D model, including functional exterior and some interior components, animated control surfaces, and basic avionics integration. While the project is still in its developmental stages, it aims to deliver a unique aerial experience consistent with the aircrafts capabilities.
