Description
Yokkaichi City is a commercial and industrial city located in the center of the Japanese archipelago, across from Centrair Chubu Centrair International Airport (RJGG).
It is home to a huge petrochemical complex and is part of the Chukyo Industrial Zone, Japan's largest industrial area.
In the past, the city was notorious for serious pollution-related diseases, but this has now been overcome and the night view of the complex's factories has become an important tourist resource.
Cruise ships that offer views of the factory night view are in service from Yokkaichi Port, a historic port that dates back to before the Edo period.
You can also get a panoramic view of the beautiful factory night view from the observation deck of the Yokkaichi Port Building, a high-rise building standing in the middle of the complex.
This petrochemical complex has more than 20 chimneys, some of which are well over 100 meters tall.
The night view of the complex's factories can be seen from the surrounding parks.
And the town has now become a dream destination for night view photographers.
This is an original scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
It recreates an area of about 10km square in the center of Yokkaichi city, Mie prefecture.
Particular attention has been paid to recreating the night view of the petrochemical complex, and the aviation obstruction lights on each chimney flash just like the real thing.
It also includes over 40 landmark markers.
The terrain data was obtained from Google Earth, and the LOD is 17-19, with some parts at 21.
