latest build does't even startup anymore

Sorry to hear that. I haven’t had many reports of the latest build not starting, so it may be something specific to your setup, but I’m happy to look into it.

Could you try the portable version instead and let me know if that starts correctly? That will help narrow down whether the issue is with the installer/build setup or the app itself.

Also, if you see any error message, crash popup, antivirus warning, or log file, please send it over along with your Windows version.

    Thanks for reporting it!

The last build is unstable, it takes a lot of time to load up and to execute simple tasks. The previous build was stable and solid.

WARNING THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS ADDONS. DO NOT USE. I have tried multiple other apps for cleaning caches etc. This one has been by far the most destructive to my sim. It disabled all my community folder addons to where I have to go into safe mode to renable them. It corrupted my config file and xml file. DO NOT USE!!! 6 hours and counting from my first use and I still dont have it back to the way it was

Sorry you had trouble, but this sounds like you never read the Content.xml warning or missed it. The app does not delete Community add-ons. If the Content.xml cleanup option is selected then MSFS rebuilds its content index and can reset enabled/disabled package states. That is why the app shows a warning before running that action.

Your add-ons should not be gone, they just need to be re-enabled in MSFS Content Manager / Marketplace content settings.

The tool has been downloaded over 10,000 times and this is not a common report.

I got zero warning. I never said my addons were gone. I said exactly what you said that it disabled all of them. Do you understand the amount of time it takes to renable that kind of volume of addons. It locked my sim up so badly that I had to go into safe mode and enable a few at a time. It completely corrupted the xml file also

Thank you for the software. One question: Is there no possibility for you to add the option to choose what you want to delete inside the WASM folder?
    c

Thanks for the feedback and glad you’re finding the app useful 😊

At the moment the WASM cleanup is an all-or-nothing option because some addons scatter files around like confetti at a parade 🎭 and partial deletion can sometimes leave broken configs behind.

That said, being able to choose exactly what to remove inside the WASM folder is a really good idea, especially for people who only want to clear specific addons or problem packages. I’ll definitely look into adding a more advanced selective cleanup option in a future release 👍

Hello! After using your program, my community folder and MSFS folder were completely deleted. In other words, the game itself was completely deleted, along with all its contents. What should I do?
    c

    Hello,

Sorry you ran into trouble — but MFS Cleaner/Fixer does not delete your simulator installation folder or your Community addons folder.

It only clears specific cache / catalog paths under places like AppData (for example scenery cache, DCE, WASM cache, and optional Content.xml catalog files). Those are not your whole game install and not your Community folder.

One task removes Content.xml files. That can make Marketplace and owned content look missing or “off” until you refresh things — not necessarily because files were wiped, but because the catalog list was reset.

What you should do: open the sim and go to the Marketplace / Content Manager, find your purchases and addons, and turn them back on / reinstall or enable them as you normally would after a catalog reset. If anything still doesn’t show, use owned items / reinstall there.

If the game folder itself really disappeared from disk or from Steam/Microsoft Store, that usually points to something else (uninstall, manual delete, another tool, Store repair, etc.).

    Best regards,

Thank you for your quick response. Everything is fine. The disk space has cleared up. Now I have a reason to buy and install MSFS2024. As the saying goes, everything that happens, happens for the best. All the best to you.

    Historique des versions

MFS Cleaner/Fixer v1.4.12 This update focuses on making the cleaner safer, clearer, and less confusing, especially around Content.xml, Community add-ons, and DLSS management. Cleaner safety improvements Content.xml is now backed up before it is deleted. Added a new Restore Content.xml button in the Cleaner section. Restore Content.xml is only clickable when a backup actually exists. Added a visible backup status line so users can see whether a Content.xml backup is available. The Content.xml warning is now much clearer: MSFS may reset enabled/disabled package states, and users may need to open Content Manager in-game to re-enable Community or Marketplace add-ons they want active. The cleanup log now reminds users what to do after using the Content.xml cleaner. Safer default cleaner settings Content.xml is now unchecked by default to reduce accidental use. Rolling/manual cache files are now enabled by default. Restore Defaults now restores safer recommended cleaner selections. Cleaner UI improvements Removed the unnecessary Exit button from the Cleaner toolbar. Renamed Defaults to a clearer two-line Restore Defaults button. Renamed Clear to Clear Selection. Riskier cleaner actions such as Content.xml and WASM are now marked as confirmation-required. Fixed cramped and clipped buttons in the Cleaner section. Startup Manager UI fixes Fixed the Restore Backup button text being cut off. Startup Manager buttons now resize/wrap more cleanly. DLSS Manager fixes Fixed Download selected text being cut off. Fixed an issue where applying DLSS to MSFS 2020 worked, but the install dropdown jumped back to MSFS 2024 afterward. The DLSS Manager now keeps the selected simulator install after applying or restoring DLSS. Localization Updated the new safety labels, backup status text, restore tooltips, and cleaner button labels for English, German, French, Spanish, and Hindi.
