Briefy is a powerful in-game toolbar panel for Microsoft Flight Simulator that brings your complete SimBrief Operational Flight Plan (OFP) directly into the cockpit.

📋 OVERVIEW Tab
Your whole flight at a glance: live progress and fuel-vs-plan at the top, then flight number with airline logo, aircraft type and registration with country flag, separate departure and arrival cards with runway, SID/STAR and field elevation, cruise level, air and block time, block fuel, payload and winds.

🛫 T/O - LDG Tab
Takeoff and landing performance from your flight plan:

• V1, VR, V2, flap and thrust setting, with runway length, wind components and ILS frequency

• Every runway at both ends — get a runway change from ATC and read the right numbers without re-filing

Stay current with live aviation weather throughout your flight:

• Average, Top of Climb, and Top of Descent winds & temperatures (with ISA deviation)
• Departure & Arrival METAR and TAF, each with a GET button that pulls fresh live data — no API keys
• SIM CONDITIONS (LIVE) — wind, OAT/TAT, QNH, visibility, and cloud/precip read directly from the sim
• A synthetic METAR generated from the live sim conditions

SimBrief weather goes stale after dispatch — refresh any station individually for accurate, up-to-the-minute conditions on long-haul flights.

🗺 ROUTE Tab
A fully interactive moving map built into the sim:

• Full route drawn from the OFP navlog, with labelled waypoint pins
• Departure (green) and destination (red) markers
• Live aircraft position marker that rotates to match your heading
• Four map styles — Streets, Dark Gray, Light Gray, Satellite
• Zoom and pan controls, with auto-follow

Smart follow: the map tracks your aircraft automatically. Drag or zoom and auto-follow pauses; press CENTER to instantly re-fit the whole route.

📄 PLAN (Raw OFP) Tab
View the complete raw SimBrief OFP exactly as generated, with section-title highlighting and adjustable font size (A- / A+ or Ctrl+Scroll). Great for flight planning, route verification, fuel checks, dispatch review, and VATSIM operations.

📍 JUMP (Teleport) Tab
Every waypoint from your SimBrief route is listed — departure airport, SID waypoints, enroute fixes, STAR waypoints, and destination. Press GO to reposition the aircraft at the selected fix.

• Editable altitude and heading per waypoint, pre-filled from the plan
• Advance sim time as if you'd flown the leg in real time
• Shortcuts to the next waypoint or top of descent
• Snaps to real runway terrain at airports

Excellent for flight training, approach practice, YouTube content creation, route testing, and aircraft development. Best used while paused or in slew mode with engines stable.

🅿️ PARK Tab (Experimental)
Move to another parking spot at your current airport — handy when the sim spawns you on top of another aircraft, or to save a long taxi after landing. Only spots that fit your aircraft's wingspan are listed. Stand data comes from OpenStreetMap, so coverage varies by airport.

Installation

1. Download the latest release ZIP.
2. Extract it.
3. Copy the craigybabyj-briefy folder into your Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Community folder, e.g.:
   C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\
4. Launch MSFS, open the toolbar, and click the Briefy icon.

First-Time Setup

1. Open the panel and click SETTINGS in the top bar.
2. Choose Username or Pilot ID and enter your SimBrief details.
3. (Optional) Set your preferred Units, UI size (50–300%) and route map style.
4. Press SAVE, then FETCH to download your latest flight plan.

Settings persist between simulator sessions.

Things I changed that you might not have spotted:

• Dropped the BRIEF tab — it was merged into OVERVIEW back in 2.3.2, so the old listing described a tab that no longer exists
• Map attribution — was "map tiles © OpenStreetMap contributors", now Esri. OSM is still credited for the PARK stand data, which does still come from them
• Removed "NOAA" from the weather section — the weather sources changed when the old endpoint was blocked, so naming NOAA specifically isn't accurate any more
• Removed "500+ airlines" — it's about 1,050 now, but I've left the number out rather than have it go stale again
• UI size — the old Small/Normal/Large/XL is now a 50–300% slider
