Cherbourg Maupertus (renamed Cherbourg Manche), LFRC is a civil / military airport located in Normandy.

           Paved runway, 2440x45m, QFU 10 / 28

           Lighted approach lights are available for runway 28 and Papi for runway 10

           AFIS and A/A frequency is 119.625

History :

Cherbourg - Maupertus airport build began in 1937, and first aircraft land in may 1939.

During WWII, the airport will be used by Luftwaffe, some parts are always visible on north-east of the runway.

Terminal building was inaugurated in 1967.

In the 70's, Aurigny air service had scheduled service flights between Cherbourg airport  and Channel Islands.

In the 80's and 90's few flights was operated by Air Altlantique, Chalair Aviation, Air normandie, between Orly LFPO and Toussus-le-Noble to Cherbourg LFRC

In septembre 2019, department of Manche décided to give the name of "Aéroport de Cherbourg-Manche".
