    Description

    Slava Ukraini!     Victory & Peace for Ukraine!

    This mod is dedicated to the courageous city of Kyiv and its resilient people, a city that has endured and continues to endure the significant suffering brought on by the infamous Russian invasion.

    I decided to bring some additional love to this grand city, greatly enhanced by TedStricker, and also to make it compatible with some newer community mods such as We Love VFR and DEFAULT AUTOGEN CHURCHES, GREENHOUSES, STADIUMS, GAS STATION, SHOPPING MALLS.
    As a little bonus I also did some improvemtns around Chornobyl area.

    This mod contains the following fixes and enhancements.

    The city of Kyiv:

    1. Removed duplicated smoke stacks, antennas and cooling towers.
    2. Added additional smoke & steam effects to the power plants.
    3. Added the biggest flag of Ukraine near the Mother Ukraine statue (please note, that although I have added the night lights, the flag model that I used does not illuminate the flag itself - but only its pole).
    4. Excluded the autogen churches mixed together with the custom ones.
    5. Flattened the bump under the TV Tower.

    Chornobyl area:

    1. Flattened bumpy terrain along the power plant.
    2. Removed all the duplicated smoke stacks.
    3. Removed street lights from the town of Pripyat (sadly there is no way to exclude the window lights on the autogen buildings to make the town completely dark - as it should be).

    Installation:
    Make sure the Kyiv Landmarks pack by TedStricker is already downloaded and placed in your Community folder before you proceed!
    1. Unzip the file and place the both folders into your Community folder.
    2. You should be asked whatever you want to replace the "TEC_0.PNG.DDS" texture. Agree with the replacement.

    If you have any further suggestions for the things to be improved or I misssed some more duplicated models  - feel free to comment!

    I followed these instructions word for word and placed the 2 folders in my community folder but I didn't get asked to replace anything and my content manager shows it as not being installed. What could be wrong?

    ps. Resolved - I had renamed Ted's original folder and now sorted. Thanks for the fix.

    Please, try to go through them again. If you followed the instructions it should work as excepted. Double check that you have the original Kyiv Landmarks mod placed into your community before you place the two folders in this download.

    I've flow Kyiv and all of Ukraine quite a bit and thank you for your effort here giving me the chance to revisit this beautiful European capital in what will hopefully be our next NATO ally.

    Very good scenery, well done. I did enjoy to explore Kyiv and it´s surroudings for the first time. No impact on the frames. Keep up the good work and ignore what some people write here repeating Russian propaganda!

    Here are some of the changes for the upcoming version:

    1. I noticed that some of the duplicated models failed from being excluded. Except it to fixed properly.
    2. All the tall structures will have an aircraft collision lights.
    3. The shoreline of the Dnipro river will be tweaked and look a lot less bumpy.
    4. Tets-6 will get a new overhauled smoke stack texture to match its current appearance.
    5. Additionally I noticed that I forgot to tweak the Darnytsʹka Tets. In the next update the PP will get some new stacks and smokes!

    There should be no politics here. And why do administrators allow some political statements and positions of different parties to be expressed here during such a period? The whole world has already gone deaf from these slogans and shouts. Glory can only be to the Almighty!

    Thank you! It is sad that these kind of people exist in this world, who believe that they are allowed to invade a sovereign country because they think they are "the same people" and should be ruled under the same tzar.. But I am glad to make a difference for the Ukrainian community out there in such a hard time.

    So, except some nice update coming soon :)

    Thank you so much for your words! Regarding the previous comments... I am not even sure anymore whatever are these just trolls or are people genuinely that brainwashed. I guess if they would have lived in the Nazi occupied Paris they would be the first ones to call out the person saying "Vive la France! Vive la Résistance!" a Nazi and report them to the Gestapo for being a Nazi...

    P.S.I noticed one more power plant that I forget to tweak. Except it to be improved and the collision lights added here and there in the next update!

    Surely,......This talented Guy will give us a superbly rendered Stepan Bandera monument if he decides to improve the Lviv scenery.

    1. All the Kyiv power plants should be corrected now. 2. Reworked the Dnipro river shoreline along the city center. 3. Added aircraft collision lights to several power plants. 4. Added painted flags and logos at the Obolon district embankment that you can see from the latest Google Maps (they include the 5.10 party logo, Ukrainian flag, Crimean Tatar flag and the Belarus democratic flag). 5. Added construction equipment at the Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian People (in real life the statue under the arch has been dismantled). 6. Reworked the texture for one of the smoke stacks to match the current look.
