    Description

    A little update to Asobo's Premium Deluxe San Francisco International Aiport. It's nicely cluttered by default but I found that some improvement can be used especially in the perimeter. Quite a number of flat buildings and antennas had to be nurtured into the third dimension, some fuel tanks and details were missing. I added a number of static business jets in the far out parking positions that are usually not used by AI. The fire brigade finally got some fire trucks and cool but bored guys and the Coast Guard got helicopters. I also removed some photogrammetry artifacts that made large parts of the gates G unusable as well as cleared out some blobs near the highway.

    In order to give you the best free experience of the airport, I made this addon compatible to the Coast Guard Air Station already available as well as the handcrafted Grand Hyatt Hotel. I highly recommend to install the two along with this mod.

    Installation

    Unzip the file into your community folder.You should have all World Updates installed. On top of that you need the UK 2000 library free from the marketplace. This mod is compatible only with Asobo's Premium Deluxe version of KSFO.

    For the static jets in the 2024-version, you need the Totof-Aircraft-Library.

    Add the dependencies listed below.

    Hi and thanks a lot! Not sure if I can just add a single frequency on top. The philosophy of the sim is mostly, that you have to redo everything from scratch if you work on major parts. But I'll have a look as soon as I find time.

    Hey, thanks for this awesome mod but ground texture is showing not right. I've checked with UK2000 and all WU/CU that is related to SF/California being installed. Any ideas how I can fix it? Thanks.

    Wow, that doesn't look right. My mod doesn't do anything to the ground textures at all, so I wonder if it might be a side effect of another mod. Can you test it with nothing else in the community folder?

    Yeah, I figured there was a folder conflicting with your mod somewhere and wondering if you know one since I have way too many in Community folder lol. Eventually, I finally found GSX profile for SFO in AFCAD folder that caused to conflict. I simply "disabled" this file and it is working now. Thanks again!

    Thanks for making this. This enchances KSFO a lot without taking an FPS hit. I appreciate when people enchance the Asobo handcrafted airports as I find them usually quite good.

    Thanks a lot! I fully agree. They do a good job most of the time so spending money elsewhere is not necessery. However spicing them up a bit is fun. :-)

    does this enhance airport terminals? The ones that are automatically set with MSFS are sucky.

    Hi and thank you for the rating. No, the terminals are default. This only works with Asobo Premium in which imho the terminals are fine.

    First of all, thank you for your effort with the details - and revisiting/revising you work. As far as 'ugly photogrammetry' is concerned, I still have a lot (like in ... A LOT!) artefacts around the International Terminal (Area G - see screenshot). I have meanwhile build my own little exclusion mod (disabled for the screenshot), but it would be great if you could have a look at that area, too :)

    not sure why, if it is only me or not, it is badly optimized, my spects are GTX1660, 32gb ram and Ryzen 5 5000 series CPU, im getting around 30 fps, approach went smooth but while I was doing ILS28R, game was running allright until like 100 - 50 feet about the ground where I started getting stutters every 2 second and freezing for 1 sec., I couldnt land and after touchdown it continued, I've got video, over all nice scenery

    Pretty sure this has nothing to do with my scenery. It consists 90% of default objects and is pretty light weight. Never had any performance issues and this is the first complaint ever.

    I only saw your reply now. My specs are even lower than yours and I never had trouble. There are so many reasons why a sim sometimes doesn't work like interfering mods. Did you try my mod with nothing else in the community folder? Do you get the low fps every time?
